Occasionally, there is some involvement with politics, so here I am (photo to the right) pictured on my eBike at a protest encouraging our local congressman to do the right thing during the debt ceiling negotiations in late July of 2011 and during similar protests supporting the Moral Mondays movement in 2014-2015. You can tell by the lady behind me how excited people get about such things in Chapel Hill!? More in the article on the web site for radio station WCHL.(the original article was merged into the new link here)
There are some things our family is doing that we don't get to share enough with family and friends. So I setup this Wiki page to document what we are up to, at least through my eyes. It's sort of like a (we)blog, but with a little more structure. The index for this section appears below. Hope there's something of interest to you the reader!

After decades of enduring poor audio during teleconferences and crummy meeting recordings by services not designed to do a good job at capturing either audio or video, I built some alternative platforms good for both teleconference recording and remote participation along with creation of podcasts documented here for the local NC Tech for Good group.
When not with the family or working on projects at IBM's cloud goup, there are many things I do with the Community Church of Chapel Hill, local Electric Vehicle club, the Senior Games events in NC, the Masters swim club in Durham NC, as an Amateur Extra Radio operator callsign W4CHL, occasional runs with area track teams, and as a volunteer for the North Carolina DiscoverE K-12 enrichment program.
